Hi friends, It's time again for another mini pattern! A little project to use up all your scraps of yarn. I've used Cosy by Durableyarn, but you can use any yarn for this project, just keep in mind that if you use a thinner yarn your planter will be (even) smaller. You will also need a (wooden) ring with a width of approx.5cm Let's start!
Laten we beginnen!
Start with crocheting your ring: Attach your yarn around your ring with a knot, start crocheting SC all around your ring until you have covered the whole ring. Close with a SS in your first SC.
Put your ring aside and let's crochet the planter. The base of the planter is a granny square, so that is what we will crochet first!
*CH5 ,make a circle using a SS.
R1: CH3 ( this counts as your first DC), 2DC into the circle, *CH2, 3DC into the circle*, repeat from * to * 2 more times, CH2, end with a SS in the top of your first CH3. You have made your first round.
Use 2SS to move your yarn to the first CH2 corner to start R2 ( see video)
R2: CH3 ( this counts as your first DC), 2DC into the CH2 space, CH2, 3DC into the same CH2 space. *CH 1,then in the CH2 cornerspace: 3DC, CH2, 3DC*, repeat from * to * 2 more times. CH1, end with a SS in the top of your first CH3. Use 2SS to move your yarn to the first CH2 corner to start R3 ( see video)
R3: CH3 ( this counts as your first DC), 2DC into the CH2 space, CH2, 3DC into the same CH2 space. *3DC in the CH1 space, then in the CH2 cornerspace: 3DC, CH2, 3DC*, repeat from * to * 2 more times. 3DC in the next CH1 space, end with a SS in the top of your first 3DC. Use 2SS to move your yarn to the first CH2 corner to start R4( see video) R4: CH3 ( this counts as your first DC), 1DC into the CH2 space, CH1, 2DC into the same CH2 space. Crochet 2DC between every space of a group of 3DC, and in every corner :2DC, CH1, 2DC Close with a SS in the top of your first CH3.
Your granny square will start to get some shape.
Use a SS to move your yarn to the first CH1 corner to start R5 ( see video) R5: CH3 (this counts as your first DC). 1DC in every space between a group of 2DC. IDC in every corner. Close with a SS in the top of your first CH3.
CH8 to chain a little strap to attach your little bag to the ring (see video)
Weave in all the ends and enjoy your little planter!
